be completely independent

can one actually be completely independent? I want to be! Free of everything, everyone. But inevitably, it is impossible. The thought, the idea is something that can be chased for an entire lifetime, but not be had. Simply because we are human, the path that has been laid out for us is one of codependency.

So while one can lead a life with the least amount of dependency, it is impossible for one to be completely independent.

Contradiction!

I finished school and started working last year and am just bogged down in student loans and credit card debt. I make good money, but can’t seem to get ahead. Being single and living alone is expensive! You end up spending more on food, shelter, going out, pretty much everything. Had to borrow a couple hundred dollars from my parents last week to have some cash on hand. Hadn’t done it since I started working, and it just didn’t feel good. Gotta really start budgeting!

work, travel, and live ‘in the real world’ without the aid of others

I just want to start saving more money and never need to ask anyone for help financially. In other ways, I’m independent, just hit a tough time that I need to get through! But I can’t wait till the day that I’m in total financial control.

both financially and emotionally, others in my life will benefit by not feeling responsible for my well being. I will feel more at ease knowing that I have as much to offer as I have to gain from others.

Well…we are never fully independent. For we are dependant creatures…but I can say, that I don’t need my mother to clean,cook or wake me up in the morning. I was raised to take ‘care’ of myself. because only then can you even begin to think about taking care of anyone else. (IE. kids)..;-)...

I am glad I finally did it

i want to be completely independent. But this summer i made a huge mistake, i’ve been on my own for about a year, but my sister was getting married this summer, and as the maid of honor, i needed to be home. So i moved home. I’m in college, but now my parents are telling me that they are not going to let me go back to school, and that all my friends are awful, and that i’ve ruined my life. But yet, they complaign that i am a leech, when i have a job, and a place to stay in Hattiesburg, where i go to school. I actually want to move back now, but my parents are telling me that they will make me walk back naked if i go… lol… because apparently they bought me all my clothes, not…. I just don’t understand that they complaign about me not doing anything, when they are keeping me away from a job I love, my friends, my fiance, and my home. When they decided on their own i was staying home, because the decision has nothing to do with me apparently, they said they just weren’t going to let me move back home, then i told them i would call the police and tell them i was being held hostage, which would be true. My parents just refere to me as going back to school as running away, they always say, you just have to run away, i mean…. come one, i’m of legal age… lol… it’s not running away anymore it’s going home. the only hold my parents have on me is my car. So…. yeah…. besides that and a lifetime of guilt, i would be completely independent

i depend so much on my parents for like money and stuff it’s ridiculous. my ass needs a job.
