Was up late last night and then didn’t manage to get in till almost 10 which left me working till 7.30 tonight :o( Am working just now too so not confident about tomorrow.
How to go to bed early, get up early
How I did it: I asked a friend to have breakfast with me every weekday at 7:40am. She wanted to eat earlier to gain weight ( I know, but she's really skinny), so we both have really strong reasons to do this together. It's been two weeks now and it's nice having a long breakfast before a long day's work. It relaxes me and lightens my mood for the rest of the day. Naturally, I also start getting tired earlier and I go to bed earlier, usually not after 12:30am. I can probably go to bed even earlier.
I'd love to continue to make the effor to wake up early.Having a whole day's sanity is better than 30 minutes in bed at 8:00am.
Lessons & tips:
If this is also one of your goals, try getting a friend to do this with you. It's so much fun not to have breakfast alone, and you have someone to be accountable to. The other thing is to find a fun morning activity that really gets you excited. Maybe it's reading a book, watching a tv episode, walking, or going to the park. Whatever method you choose, make sure you make your best effort to do it for a while. Have a friend and tell her about how you're doing every morning, or simply invite friends to do this with you.

I have a serious problem with staying up to the wee hours and then struggle to get up in the mornings. I can find any excuse – even housework becomes appealing. Am fortunate to work flexible hrs but if I got in earlier I could build up time and get up to 3 days off per month extra. To most this would be incentive enough! Managed to get in this morning for 8.30. I can definately do this, I used to do 6.30 starts for long enough so just need to push myself. It would change my life in that I’d get more time to do the things I enjoy in my evenings.

Ok so I’m marking this as done. Hope it doesn’t come back to my list. I’ve been impressively waking up at 7:00 – 7:30 for 3 weeks now. The next goal should be cutting down on TV cause that helps going to bed early too!!
