build a submarine

...not quite as elaborate as what everyone else is building, but mine was pretty cool too. it consisted of an empty water bottle, some drinking straws, rubber bands, a party balloon and coins for weight. saw it on an episode of beakman’s world :) it was a lot of fun to make. gosh, i love beakman’s world.

This is going to happen this summer. I’m building a portable DIY automated DSRV with proven quality plans. It’s rated at 100 feet and looks really fun.

From there, I’ll move up to more “difficult” projects.

I was thinking more low key, and about building a R/C Submarine. I read about them once in some magainze while on an airplane, it immediatly caught my interest and im just staggared by the price of kits $1000! but It would be so cool I think to have it out in some nice lake…stalking those stupid r/c speed boats- and just torpedo one.
Or maybe take out some little kids toy boat in the local city lake…ahhhg! I even thought that you could make a hole in the side of a lake, and put a mailbox or something in it, with waterpunps- so you could have your own sub pen!, be able to launch it with stealth- no one saw you bring it in. and no one sees it leave- maybe you could even create a myth around it and people would say “That lake is haunted by some renegade ghost Nazi sub…”
Or maybe just make them think its Mecha-Loch Ness
ahhh….the possibilities are endless….

I think it would be cool to buy a submarine (a big one), gut it and kit it out like a yacht. Then drive it around to places and go diving etc.

I also think it would be cool if I could say something like this and not have people look at me like I’d just been let out of the hospital. So far, the hospital face is all I’ve been seeing. Still, there’s hope yet.
