Create my own house/pet sitting business.

to pass up! I really like it here in the wilderness and this business is perfect for a resort location. It fits in really well with my niche business. Which fits well with my real estate services business.

Plus I get the additional perks of unconditional love from my clients (the pets). :)

Today I got my first client referred by a friend who has a book-keeping service here in the wilderness. My friend also booked me for her Christmas vacation.

The woman I work for at the antique store said her housekeeper just quit to move to Denver and left her clientel with no replacement.
She suggested I add that service to my business for instant cash flow.

At first my ego got in the way, afterall I always had housekeepers…but can’t look a cash cow in the mouth and walk away financially challenged. That would be stupid. ;)

this week and started telling everyone about this business here in the wilderness.

I can’t put my well being at risk anymore depending on passive aggressive people who talk more about someone than too them for my livelihood.

I knew this about people here when I left many years ago. Why would I have thought they had changed?

I have a house/pet sitting opportunity from April 18th – May 5th for a local Realtor. I met with her today at her home and met the pets…very sweet.

I’m doing it for free for her to build up a referal base.

Hmmm…may need to rethink this business venture. It may be better than I thought it would be.

I actually have an appointment to meet with someone to house sit for the next 2 weeks. This was a temporary stop gap in the face of the mortgage meltdown/real estate crunch that we are facing.

and definitely fits with my other projects very well. I am a business woman but definitely with a more creative flair than I have let myself experience in the past. :)
