do something special to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday

I am still full from the sirloin steak I had for lunch. We all had a grand time celebrating my dad’s belated birthday as well as Mother’s day. The lunch was okay except that my dad got annoyed when he was initially denied his second serving of mushroom brown sauce. I managed to ask again and shortly after, they sent us two bowls of the sauce. It was a memorable outing all in all though our big entourage had a hard time walking around the mall due to the busy Sunday crowd.

..I bought cake and fried chicken on my way home. We had a feast for dinner! There wasn’t much fuss, especially since my sister isn’t around to join the celebration. She’s coming back this weekend so we might go out for a celebratory lunch or dinner on Sunday.

I’m so grateful that my dad is healthy, happy and settling down into his retirement steadily. Just five minutes ago, I had to describe my dad in one word. I chose “HEROIC”! :D
