Persistence is my personal bugbear. It’s plagued my family too. We’ve all got the ability in buckets to achieve things, but we don’t apply ourselves and persist with the job until it’s finished. We fail because we don’t persist. sigh How to learn persistence?

I am moderately resilient and determined, but when I hit a snag with one of my goals, it all starts unravelling, all my good habits. I’m learning to catch myself unravelling and address the issue that’s bothering me more quickly, so that the good habits in my life can be re-knitted into the fabric of my day, and I can move on successfully; persevere determinedly again.
It’s easy to spot when I’ve unravelled and something’s bothering me – the house routines go out the window and I think, “Oh I’ll do that later,” because I’m feeling bugged or anxious about something. So here’s to catching that dropped stitch quicker and having the courage to address the problem right away! (usually it’s a uni assignment that’s bugging me – grr) :-)
