knit a mitered square blanket

Well, my husband and I have shared a house with other people since one year after we got married, and this summer we are moving into an apartment by ourselves! New apartment fever has hit… I want to knit a blanket for the sofa, based on the Mitered Square Blanket from Mason-Dixon Knitting!

I want to use two colors and make each half of the square a different color. I’ve been looking at some of the quilt patterns for inspiration. I’m thinking Knit Picks Shine in dark blue and sage green…
