Oh the foibles of life. Flat tire on my way home tonight, so my walk in the grocery store and the unexpected trudge through the snow to our shed to find a new tire (and back, almost hip deep) will have to suffice. My sweetie used his bunny boots. I should have grabbed the snow shoes, but I’m clumsy with them, so … but it was a walk. mind you a short walk, still a walk. 2 weeks ago

Day two I worked very late then stopped at a local pizza bistro for a salad and a glass of malbec- very nice. Then the walk. On paved and dirt surface, cleared of snow and ice, so I kept my head up, shoulders squared and enjoyed a brisk pace. Walked down to the bluff overlooking kachemak bay – truly beautiful view where I work. Then past a rectory, parking lot and back to the car and whoosh – that simple. on my way home. 2 weeks ago

Went for a nice walk down my lane and out to the edge of the riverbank cliff. This required going through some snow – still a couple of feet deep in some areas. I had to look down quite alot to watch my footing and punch a pathway into the snow. At one point, almost to the edge of the cliff over our riverbank, I hesitated, then asked myself “What would Elizabeth Bennet do?” – and so I walked. The edge was crisp and breezy, ice chunks on the very low tidal flats and muddy banks where the river is still thawing. On the way back, I saw butterflies. Spring is here. 2 weeks ago

Walked 3 or 4 walks every day while on vacation at my son’s. The weather and environment, being away from work and home helped. Been on a few walks since i got back, too. Riversides, beach. 23 months ago
