spanish would be much more practical for me to learn, but i would love to be able to speak french. or german. or maybe something completely absurd like pig latin. yeah, pig latin.
i read an article about subliminal learning – you listen to those language courses while you sleep and it’s supposed to help you learn.
hokey? or do you think it really works?
hmm…
Morgan is finally leaving the hotel and driving to Iowa from Denver.
Japanese has been the only language in which I’ve actually learned really quickly and been really good at it. When I enter into the University, I’ll be taking Japanese as my one year mandatory foreign language.
Fluent in French, working on becoming fluent in Spanish. Takes a lot of dedication and practice but being able to have a conversation with someone in a foreign language without bashing your head on the wall trying to remember every other word is definitely a lot of fun . Also, once you do learn a language, it becomes much easier to learn another so hey if you feel like taking the extra step, I highly recommend it ;).
i know bits and pieces of a few languages save my first.
if only i could get beyond phrases and bits of grammar to an actual discernable level of fluency.
maybe i should pick up my french again, take some classes…i got furthest along with that (a-level standard) ooooh project.
fidgiegirl is having a whole sunny wonderful Saturday morning all to herself
It takes a long time and much much dedication but is so rewarding . . .
I just realised that I do know a second language, namely, Urdu. I have spoken both Urdu and English since I was able to speak, ergo, urdo doesn’t evebn register as a second language. So very strange!
I would say as far as learning a second language is considered I have already achieved that goal, now for learning Spanish and may be French.
