I’ve discovered that condo living isn’t my thing. I feel like I have very little control of my home life. The sad thing is that I love the layout of the unit and it has a lot of potential. But the property management company is a nightmare and so is the condo board.

When I put the condo on the market in January, I figured it would take months of showings before anything happened.
12 days later I had two offers. It was nuts. Six weeks later I closed. There was definitely a lot of good timing, luck, and the universe helping me out involved. I’m grateful that the sale was so easy, and I’ve really loved life since then. I don’t have a new home yet, but have been travelling around exploring the southwest, and am super happy.
We sold our condo back in November and we are currently settling back into life on Long Island. I look at this list and the problems and things I was worried about then seem miniscule to the ones I have now.
que lastima.
I want to sell my condo and gain control over my financial life again. When this happens, a lot of pressure will be lifted. I’d like to find a place in the city to live temporarily until I get back on my feet again.
our closing was 9/26/07, my birthday. it was a totally insane day, but we’re now in a house not far from the condo. it’s completely different and about double the size, which is crazy! we’ve been doing renovations since we moved in though so we’re still on 1 floor waiting… definitely a good move & smart investment to sell the condo & buy the house.
It took me over a year, but I am now in a bigger, better, and less expensive place. Patience!!
