I am 5’1” tall and i weigh 139 pounds. I don’t know if i look as fat as i feel but i know that i need to do something to get my self confidence up. I am going to eat really healthy, but when i get a major craving for something i am just going to eat a small portion. I don’t think that i have a lot of will power but i am going to do my best!!
How to lose 24 pounds
How I did it: I became a vegan and quit eating crap. Pretty simple really.

I had to change the title of this goal b/c I gained weight … ugh!! So far I have lost 4. 20 more to go.
I want to lose 24 pounds by May 3 2008.
My graduation is on the 10th and I want to be able to look good in the pictures.
So the idea here is to lose 2 pounds per month, for all 12 months in 2007. Not a huge challenge, but nice simple, acheivable monthly goals. The bad news is that here it is February 1st, and I seem to have actually GAINED 2 pounds, thus far. To be fair, I have not made a huge effort to work toward my 2 pounds per month goal, but I really do want to hold myself accountable and reach this goal. I am going to renew my commitment and head to the gym first thing tomorrow. Yeah!
I have decided to adjust this one. I am going to set a modest and acheivable goal for 2007, to lose 2 pounds a month for the 12 months of 2007. That will mean I should have lost 24 pounds by this time next year. I think that sounds reasonable and healthy.
This is a 2 pound a month goal for the next 12 months which I intend to review and recommit in December of 2007.
My long range goal is get down below 200, but I figure since it took several years to climb to the 258 mark, it would be in my best interest to make a life style change and gradually lose the weight. I’ve lost quickly before and always gained more back afterward.
I have set my birthday as a baby-step goal point… So mid-August I’ll see if I’ve made some small amount of progress and spin my next short term goal off of that. I have already made some progress as far as the scale is concerned, however there is far more to fitness and health than a number on a scale. That said, I’ll take the small wins that I can!
