Buy a Dining Room Table

and I still haven’t bought one.

Done. I got my $100 rent.com money back and decided to go for it. It is really cute. I love it. I feels good to have somewhere to eat a meal other than the floor in front of the tv. I love marking things off of my list.

it needs to be really tiny. but it would be nice to not eat off of trays and to do my homework there.

i just moved to a new place that has an awesome dinning room but i have nothing there. nada. i have been looking fairly often but they all seem to cost a ton (at least the ones i want do)....steak taste with balogna money. I will buy one as soon as I have paid of my credit cards.

I guess we won’t be needing this. I can’t help thinking it would’ve been nice, though.

Well, I’ve lived here 53 weeks, and it doesn’t look like we’ll have a table anytime in the next month or two, as long as my partner is still in recovery. The upper shelves of the computer desk have been removed, though. I think we’re getting closer. But we haven’t actually been shopping for a table, either.

...but I’m moving in 8 days and my roommate to be is intent on purchasing a table… so there’s no use for me to right now.

Getting him a laptop was the first step. Next, when he’s ready, we’ll remove his desktop computer and large desk from the place where our dining room table must go. Hopefully this will happen sometime before I’ve lived there for a year, eating on the sofa (we don’t even have a coffee table in our small place).

When I was three, I had a stepstool to use as a table. Fond memories.

We went shopping over the weekend and picked out the right things. After some more comparison shopping, we bought a new table and chairs! Our table is a gathering table, at pub height, that’s 5 foot square. Turns out we don’t really have enough space for a lower, rectangular table. We wanted some black leather-look chairs to go with, but they weren’t in stock. We ended up with some with beige microfiber on them. The beige still matches the room; the wood goes with the table. The table is lovely, and I think we’ll come to like the top of it and find it stylish. Feels so good to mark things done!

I’m promised this is an April project. Furniture stores, watch out!
