This has been one of the more sage pieces of advice regarding a relationship that I think I have been given. It came first from an old man approaching the end of his century of years.

“always go to bed together, and never go to sleep angry with each other.”

Barring emergencies, I hope to go to bed with my fiancee each night, together, in much the same way that we eat dinner together, converse together, share our dreams together.
