grow an avocado tree

Will try this one again.

not a hint of life yet.

We’ll see if it takes.

I kept 2 seeds to plant. My son in doing his chore that night of the dishes thought they were “gross” and threw them out. Made me laugh that he’s becoming a tidy soul. Now I have to buy more and eat more avocado heheh.

I forgot the seed for 3 months and left the pot on the grass. I ran into it this weekend, and it grew a foot!

.... I don’t seem to have any problem getting the seeds to grow, but unfortunately I planted the last one in the garden, and after the severest frosts that I have ever known, it just curled up its little toes, and became compost :(

This one is growing beautifully. I will have to be more aware of where I keep it – definitely a frost free zone!

Now I need to create a goal that says, “plant my avocado tree that is living in a water bottle on my counter next to the stove.”

And I still haven’t planted it. It’s like a foot and a half tall now. Must plant avocado plant in a pot!

i have grown the tree from one pit but the pit produced three trees can i take them apart and plant them individually or are they stuck together

I got back from vacation and it is like fully sprouted. I need to plant it ASAP.
