    Well... 5 months ago

Technically, I didn’t. Since my baby was eventually born in a CS :( But for all intents and purposes, it was unassisted.
My DD was born in an emergency CS after a trial of birth at home 3 years ago, and my experience with the hospital was terrible. So I decided to go solo this time (2 months ago)

    The story repeated itself.
2 hours in full dilation and very good and effective contractions, and my (tiny) baby wasn’t coming out. :(

I decided to go to the hospital.

To make a long story short, it was a life saving decision. The little guy was born with an APGAR of 9/10 as opposed to his sister who was 2/4 and wasn’t breathing for 6 minutes…

I don’t know what the future holds for us in this area, if at all :( but I do know that I believe that this is the best way to give birth, and if it weren’t for my physical limitations, I could have said that “I’ve done this” without disclaimers.

    I decided to

Took a lot of preparation and went even more beautifully than I ever imagined it could. The privacy was just the right thing for me. By far the easiest physically of the births I have experienced.

This was without a doubt THE most transformative, enlightening experience of my life!

It’s the most amazing thing you’ll ever do. I had a solo unassisted home birth with my last child. It’s just natural and right. I can’t imagine doing it any other way.
