How to learn how to tie the stem of a maraschino cherry with my tongue

How I did it: Watched a friend do it, got a couple of tips and went to town. Used a cherry with a longer stem when I started out. It only took me about 3 hours to totally get it, but it is a lot like blowing a bubble with gum; there is a finesse to it. Lessons & tips: It really helps if you already can roll your tongue.The trick is to fold the stem when you put it in your mouth (like a long stick of gum. From there just bring the one end thought and then use your teeth to tighten the final knot. Keep on practicing!

How I did it: I was curious to see if I would be able to do this, so when I saw maraschino cherries at one of my KKY ice cream socials, I picked one out, gave away the cherry part (I don't like them), popped the stem into my mouth, and voila! How I did it: First, one must have a medium to long length maraschino cherry stem. It should be solid and have no creases. At the beginning, the little nobs on the end can add that little area of extra dexterity. Put the stem in your mouth and make the nob ends first meet, and then slightly pass one another with the stems touching. Then take the tip of your tongue and fold down the nob closest to your teeth. at the Australian Beach Club bar with my college friends. I did a lot of the designated driving. I wasn’t interested in the guys – I had to do something with my time. The stems are sometimes weak and break but most of the time they are strong enough to get tied! It is actually fun – I can’t get the knot pulled super tight but some people can. I think they use their teeth to anchor down one side.
I saw it years ago in Twin Peaks. Audrey Horne could knot a cherry stem inside her mouth. I also want to try!
