How I did it: First, one must have a medium to long length maraschino cherry stem. It should be solid and have no creases. At the beginning, the little nobs on the end can add that little area of extra dexterity. Put the stem in your mouth and make the nob ends first meet, and then slightly pass one another with the stems touching. Then take the tip of your tongue and fold down the nob closest to your teeth.
