I went on a flight to DC, then a train to NYC, then a train to Boston, then a flight back to home in Atlanta. Spent a week total. Loved being on my own. Found myself strong and independent—ended the trip feeling proud of me!
Then took a flight to the UK, stayed with a friend for 2 weeks, and flew home. London is amazing, England is lovely, and the people were great.
Once again, left proud of my courage!
I have booked my flights, train passes and hostels for a week, heading to DC, then to NYC, then to Boston and Salem, and back home again. I am taking a bag, my camera, and a journal-and other necessary things-and spending some time in 3 great cities that are options for moves for me in the future. I am a bit scared, but WTF… I have no kids, no house, just a job and a car. Nothing to lose, right? I am totally pumped. Will write more post-trip!
