Now if you put me and my husband in front of the camera – we get so uncomfortable and frozen, tight lip smile and so on. But not so for other people, thankfully! We went to the beach this weekend and our friends were so wonderfully natural posing for me. Most importantly, they had fun and told me they would looooove to do it again. I hope it means that I made them feel beautiful and relaxed. 13 months ago

Had a photo date with R. yesterday and it went well. She was not in the mood to take photos but posed for me patiently. We had a tea and a sandwich and walked around a bit. It was a nice day. I was lost as a photographer when I had to tell her what to do. She was making it harder for me pretending to be a grumpy client.
Next step is to have a real session with husband (no slacking – different locations and at least an hour long) and then my neighbors. When my British friend comes to Vancouver, he’s next on the list! 14 months ago

How I did it: Worked on my photography by joining clubs and photography meetups. Took camera out when visiting friends with children. Bought new lens to motivate myself. Went overseas on trips and tried out tactics. Read how I did it… 17 months ago
