When I was a freshman in High school, I started a petition to start a club. A Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) and it worked :-D

i live in an apartment complex with some nice amenities. free pool, free computer use, free gym…
but the one thing that isn’t free is the laundry machines. the one thing people need to have is not free. they charge a dollar a machine.
now i know it isn’t that big of a price, but the fact everything else is free that is a want and the thing that isn’t free is a need is a big deal to me. to spend more money on neighborhood dues and not get my money’s worth is ridiculous.
so today i started a petition. it basically asks the management to reconsider the expense of the laundry machines.
now the hard part is to get people in the neighborhood to listen to me…

It’s great to know you made a difference to something no matter how small it is. Me and a (now ex) friend went round for 4 days in our holidays with this petition to stop a local pond being demolished, we got well over 300 signatured in a relativley small town and the pond is now a listed area of local interest!
