giantpinkrobots wants to do some volunteering over break
I spent most of my life overweight and during nearly all of it I was miserable. I felt so little energy and enthusiasm. I had tried to ‘get into shape’ before, with a little success and then a relapse. Well finally, three years ago, I made progress. I started slow, riding my bike to work and cutting out candy from my diet. This time every slip was followed by a greater push. Every size drop was a confidence boon. I started eating a lot more wholesome food, and besides the weight drop I felt a lot less listless. It’s hard to start so go slow. Soon though those work outs become too easy and you need more of a challenge. I found out that when I attained my goal (maintained for three years now)it inspired me to tackle a lot more problems in my life. Find a new job, get my drivers license, go to college. Anything seems possible : )
