I got the confirmation through the post, and I have the ceremony on Thursday :) There were a few weeks of seriously hardcore working, but it paid off. So now I’ve got a B.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence, and a good one at that!
I’ve now got a job working as a reasearcher in my department, working on semantic web technology whilst undertaking a Ph.D. This is all a year earlier than I should have – I’m effectively ‘skipping’ the Masters’.
Last week I spent a week in Spain at the European Ontology and Semantic Web Summer School as a result of the Ph.D. – hopefully it’s a sign of things to come!
Getting a first-class degree

So far it’s looking good. I’m a third year undergraduate, and my averages so far have been maintaining a first.
If I graduate this year with a batchelors, this year counts for three-quarters of my overall degree classification. If it’s next year (with a masters) this year counts for three-sevenths.
Either way, it counts for a lot more than last year, so I need to bust-ass!
