This is a picture of me, taken in 2002 (Evenstar42, 100 rubber points for you if you can spot where it was taken.)
It doesn’t show off my figure as such, but yes, I was a LOT thinner then, and I thought I was as big as a house.
I want to shed a whooping 19kg by next year, February.
It can be done. I’ll just have to change my entire life style…

Best Life Breakfast, the breakfast of champions! 13 months ago

“So, what does a Best Life breakfast look like? They are about 400 calories and consist of: 160 to 190 calories of high-fiber cereal or whole-grain bread or crackers; 100 calories of dairy or calcium-enriched soymilk; a piece of whole fruit or a cup of fruit, and about 90 calories of nuts or margarine (with no partially hydrogenated oil). If you’d like to have an egg, then have just 80 calories of cereal, bread or crackers.”

I am trying to stick to this breakfast plan, but have already run into the first obstacle. The products mentioned on the website’s menu suggestions aren’t available here, they are ‘merrican.
So I bought high fibre bread things, such as sesame/spelt crackers, pumpernickel and a musli.
To stick to the fruit regime, I have stacked up on fruit of all sorts and had a handfull of cherries this morning.
As dairy product, I bought some cottage cheese and 0% fat milk, which is disgusting, so I will only use it in my musli.
As far as the fats go, I bought a tomato flavoured pate from the bio-store, and organic peanut butter.

This morning, I had a cracker with peanut butter and cottage cheese, which was delicious! (Hello, Abi!)

  • I will participate in a program of regular exercise, including a minimum of 80 minutes of activity over the course of four days each week.
  • I will focus on challenging my abilities in the pursuit of elevating my physical performance.
  • I will endeavour to be conscious of when I eat, and consistently terminate the consumption of all food two or three hours before bedtime.
  • I will also be aware of what I eat, and will, to the best of my ability, eat primarily to satisfy my nutritional needs as opposed to my emotional needs.
  • I will do my best to make healthful food choices by substituting foods that are nutritionally empty with those that are rich in nutrition.
  • Furthermore, I realise that this contract carries no promise of rewards, penalties or punishments other than those associated with the reflection of the strength of my character and of my health.
