set a wedding date

its been way hard trying to set a date that works for me and my fiance and family. we were aiming for 07/08/09 but thats on a wednesday so its back to the drawing board.

Tentatively, November 1st, 2008 (assuming our venue of choice is available) – how exciting! :D

We decided on the date eariler today. It was his idea, and I love it. We’re weird kids. So we are having two weddings because of things that can only be explained to a few people as of now.

The real wedding, the one that doesn’t involve my family, will take place on Feburary 13th, 2009. That’s on a Friday. Friday 13th. Fuck all that bad luck stuff, we want our own spin on this lol. I’ve always wanted to have my honeymoon on Valentines day. So this way I will. I want this wedding at night, at a certain location, then were going to party a little. Then go honeymooning. Awwww.

The other wedding is going to be sometime the last week in Feb. 2009. This is the one that takes place in a church and have a reception and shit. This is for my family&there jesus issues. Not us haha. We’ll put our spin on this one too…

Yet another goal that was a lot easier than it looked. Since we’re using my parents’ house and a close friend is officiating, the only people who had to OK our date were our families. So, it’s June 21, 2008—summer solstice! And now that we know the date, making other decisions is going to be MUCH easier!

We set the date last night. It’s over a year away, but we have an actual, tangible date and can start planning! I am SO excited!

LOL…obviously it was worth doing ;-)

I have been engaged for almost a year…I need to set up a wedding soon!
