This is something that I really want to achieve, I know this may sound arrogant but I feel like theres alot that I have to say that I think people will find interesting.

Subjects that I could cover…

1. The credit crunch

2. How Black women are represented in the fashion industry- dont get me started

3. Breast Cancer and the aftermath.

4. Love….

I’ve had articles published on music and travel. Hoping to get a travel memoires book published soon (actually two of completely different genre). Got a joke book finished, a cook book, a screen play. Working on two novels and a childrens’ rhymes book. (Sounds like I haven’t found myself, or I’m many different people).

Only once, when I was 17… but in a national paper, with half a page spread and my photograph. It was good but not the highlight of my life!

I have a great idea for an article I want to write for Slate, and I am a depressed, lazy, Pirate’s Booty-addicted, neuroses-collecting sad sack, and I have not written it, and it will stop being relevant probably by next week. Curse my non-writing hands.

PleaahahahhahahhhhH!

Its really mostly because I have other, money-paying work to do, but I am procrastinating that as well, and if I quit procrastinating I would have time to do both. Like, say, if I quit writing this post. Stuff like that.

I’m not giving up, really. I haven’t put any effort in to getting anything published – although I think I could definitely make a juicy article out of my thesis – and I’m not really interested in doing so at the moment. Maybe in the future.

A good friend of mine offered to introduce to me to someone who works at the Post in her town, and it turns out another friend of ours edits the weekly rag on her college campus and may be able to give me some tips.

I had an awesome exclusive interview with a new graphic novelist, who is fascinating and lovely and has a spectacular backstory and a really interesting, unique, current-event-impacted graphic novel. And now it’s already out, and I hadn’t pitched it to anyone, and I fail utterly. It’s not like those pretty little first assignments that would actually grab an editor’s attention happen every day.

Stupid. Sigh. Start again.

Instinctively, I want to write about something fashion related, a subject Im passionate about and that Id never get bored of. I really want to go to the sixties fashion exhibition in London this month…hmmm..watch this space.
