Promote mindfulness

In matters related to one’s station, one’s personna, I require that my servant conduct himself in a manner befitting my charge, my possession, and his role as object extension of his Mistress. Through momentary carelessness, my servant failed to do so. Perhaps he lost himself in an exchange, was distracted, or succumbed to the call of another figurative mistress, another life. It was just for a moment. No harm done, perhaps. Or not.

In a relationship of this nature, in which one pledges one’s self fully to Another, heart and soul, should not one’s thoughts also be included in that pledge?

Everyone makes mistakes. Stupid ones. Embarassing ones. We are all human and as humans we fail. That is our nature. In My relationship with verrin, I expect and require 100% from my beloved servant, and he is grateful for those standards, that care and that value. It would be unreasonable for Me to expect that he will never fail. Failure, however, is not entirely the issue. I expect that when he does fail, he will possess the mindfulness and remorse, the respect and courage, to come to Me immediately and beg forgiveness, and receive his due consequences should I desire it. This is not an issue of training, or one of discipline as much as it is one of priority, of mindfulness. I have no doubt that I can strike fear in his heart, or create the desired response through Pavlovian means. I have that power and I know how to wield it. But I wonder if stripes on his back and ass will promote mindfulness? I intend to find out.
