I have 3 tatoos. One is a blue moon and a star (left side of my ankle), one is a sun (right side of my ankle), and the third (which I regret) is a pair of dolphins (shoulder).

I used to own 17 snakes (different varieties of boas and pythons), a chameleon, 2 leopard geckos, and 7 frogs.

I haven’t painted my fingernails in over 10 years. I like short, natural, maintenance free fingernails (although toenails are another story!)

I was the Arizona karate champion in the beginning women’s division in both kata and kumite in 2001.

In cold weather the skin around my fingernails tend to crack. It can be painful if left untended.

When I get excited and happy about something, I clap my hands together and if I’m really excited and happy, then I also jump up and down while clapping my hands.

I don’t faint at the sight of blood. In fact, I’ve helped medics stitch up people without the least queasiness.

I was thinking about this today when a lady I had never seen before asked me to watch her shop for a minute while she ran to the post office down the street.

I have had strangers ask me to back their vehicles out of parking spaces, to watch their bags of stuff for a minute, and so on.

But they are exactly right to trust me . . . middle-aged women carrying a few too many pounds just can’t run fast enough to be good crooks! ;)

I am capable of blushing violently.
