I would love too. Not by myself but just to try it and see how others live.
How to live outside the united states
How I did it: I took a Job in 2005 with KBR, to work in iraq to help support our troops there. This would be the easiest way, and the most profitable. This could be possible without taking a job to travel the world, but if you can do it and make money....
Lessons & tips: There are many companies with employment in other countries, most companies love to have an employee from America on thier staff, some how they seem to think that all of the practices and standards we have in America are the best.
Always try to learn and espect others ways of life, most people are good for the most part, but still you have to be careful, no matter where you are.
Resources: You will have to constantly look for jobs on line, they are becoming less and less with the global crisis, but there are still some out there. Good luck and good travels.

I would love to live in Vienna for at least a year or two. I loved that city when I visited. In fact, I had the feeling I’d been there before, probably in a previous life. I somehow knew my way around and felt totally at home there. Freaky.
I’d also like to live in the English or Scottish countryside. Maybe I’ll do that when I’m ready to write my book. That would make for a peaceful surrounding in which to get the writing done, eh?
I lived in Japan for 5 years. I was in the Navy, and someday I want to go back.
I like the U.S. just fine and all, but I want to see more of the world.
I’m most interested in Japan because of my interest in the culture and language, and in Quebec because when I visited Montreal I loved it.

Lived in England from July 2005 to August 2007. I miss it soooo much! I think England was a good choice as far as living outside the US, because I wasn’t pressured to learn another language (although some days I didn’t think this was accurate). And the people were amazing!
Good luck to everyone who is attempting this!!!

The trouble with Belgium is that, although I lived there for almost a year, I don’t know where I lived.
