How to be a vegetarian for a month
How I did it: I did it for lent, for the challenge, for the sacrifice. I made my best friend do it with me, he lasted 21 days. But I just did not eat meat period. I COOKED! haha & I don't really cook, EVER. I thank the whole vegetarian experience for enabling me to learn how to cook & use my cooking skills. So I guess I accomplished 2 things in this. 46 days of no meat and NO CHEATING! Do you know how many parties I went to and just ate salad!!!! Agony and victory all at once....
Lessons & tips: Don't make excuses, you can do it.
Resources: Helpful family and friends.

I haven’t eaten any red meat or chicken. It was hard to do this because everyone around me eats me like CRAZY but a friend said that I was just making excuses and its true. So I’ve been meat free for almost a week. I was only going to do a week but maybe I can do a month…
I’m going to work my way up and try for at least one day a week, then 2, then 3…
I have not missed meat at all I am a lacto vegetarian that mean’s I don’t eat eggs fish or meat but I do drink dairy products there for awhile I didnt even eat cheese but I started eating cheese again after missing pizza.
Im having mixed feelings. I was so excited to eat meat, but it was so different then i thought it would be. I was anticipating the sweet tastes but it just wasnt as sweet, it was bittersweet. I took my first bite at lunch with my friends it took me about 5 minutes to take the bite my friends got so frustrated with me and i was just sick and miserable in science class i had a headache and a bad stomachache. My dad told me because my body was so used to healthy foods and when i ate greasy fried chicken it was just an overload so it started reacting. Overall, my dad and i got a lot of great recipies that i can try to find if you want or give you the name of the cookbook we used. We also had not so good recipies, but overall it was worth it. I did this to prove to myself that I CAN do things over a long period of time not just for a day I mean i guess it was easy to have substitutes but the hard part was saying “No Thanks ill take the broccoli” I know by how i said everything it sounded like i had a horrible time, but i learned a lot, and i proved myself, and that was what i was looking for. Sorry this is really wrong but im also using this as a vent for words but if you dont know if you want to do this or not, do it. The day of returning to meat is awful, but i asume ill get over it soon. I just need to moderate how much meat i eat for the next week. And to everyone doing this now, good luck, and look how far youve been, even if its only a day, you have something to prove, and you are going to prove it. <3
ehh its different then i thought it would be.. like you HAVe to get protein. my advice is to use tvp over tofu (texuredvegatable protein) :)
i look at meat and its kinda gross if u really think about it. Oh well now i have motivation.
I had a close call today I ate {imitation bacon} and i didnt know it at the time and i started freaking out but then i fiqured out it was 100% meat free :)
