No more aimless days wondering what to do! No more beautiful summer days lost to indecision! This summer will be packed and exhilarating and exciting with a balance of fun and accomplishment!!
I resolve also to spend this summer focusing on me. No guilt, no thinking about crushes. This is the summer of ME!
Fun stuff/adventures:
-A whole Saturday on Grand Avenue in St. Paul
-breakfast at the Band Box
—go to that little beach I discovered on Cedar Lake and go for a swim.
-concerts at the Turf Club
-movies
-walks at night just because they feel romantic
-outings to “fill the creative well” ... need some ideas for this
-take my camera out on a nature walk along the lake trails, after which I will have dinner and a glass of wine at a sidewalk cafe on a nice night
-Use the Blue Sky Guide coupons
-theater
-write at the Loft
-get free pass for museums at the library and go on personal field trips
-get up REALLY early and go to a cafe and work on my screenplay all day
-start going for morning walks
-check into the local Film Arts board
-study film
accomplishments:
-get new glasses
-save every dollar I can for school
-make plans to go back to school
-mow through my reading list
—find a good job that I enjoy
Maybes:
-Find a new place to volunteer at
-If my bike gets fixed, ride the trails up by Fort Snelling
-set up an Etsy shop
And of course, these go without saying:
-The Fringe Festival. I will allow myself two passes.
-Stone Arch Arts festival
-Kayaking at Lake Pelican
-Live After Five. The late-night Salsa music and dancing in the plaza was WONDERFUL last year! So much fun to watch and listen to the band. The horn section was phenomenal. I wanted SO much to join in, but I don’t know the moves. This year maybe someone will teach me to dance!
