Soy hot chocolate – with whipped cream.

Cereal with almond milk for breakfast. Cheese quiche for dinner.

Chai with soy milk at work. Veggie burger with mayo and cheese for lunch.

It’s less dairy. But everything I eliminate at this point is less dairy.

I’ve stopped eating yogurt and that’s a big deal. I switched to Trader Joe’s soy yogurt, and while I feel good about making the change, it’s a definite loss. I miss Yoplait.

I’ve been drinking the Chai instead of having the occasional coffee with cream, and I like that change. The Chai is so much more satisfying, with its aromatic spices and pleasant taste. That switch was a big plus.

And the cheese sandwich I just had was made with fake cheese and fake mayo, and I couldn’t tell the difference one bit. And this way, I don’t feel any kind of guilt about having big ol’ globs of extra mayo. Mmm, fake mayo, another plus!

If I just keep replacing more dairy with more delicious non-dairy, maybe one day I’ll wake up and discover I’m Vegan. One day.

Always read that this is one of those things I should be doing… it’s just happened coincidentally lately, but I feel leaner and tighter since switching to rice milk and avoiding cheese. Keeping an eye on this.

holy jesus, dairy is everywhere.
i think i eat 8,000 servings a day.
that makes me uneasy!

grosses me out.
but, i am not a fan of soymilk.
i just need to cut down a lot.
maybe one dairy serving a day.
cause right now i have milk, eggs, yogurt, and cheese on almost a daily basis.
just because it’s on and in everything!

but its hard so i will indulge in occasional yogurt and ice cream but not milk or yogurt or cheese everyday, but i do eat eggs everyday so thats staying

ive been having tummy problems so i decided to completely avoid dairy (but not eggs). i have not had any dairy products or any products containing dairy in about 3 weeks. i have to say i dont really miss it.



I have started as of 5 days ago.. 3 years ago

So far, I’m doing really well. My hardest will be milk, ice cream and pizza.. I haven’t had those things or any other dairy product since I began, except for maybe just a little bit that I don’t know of. I really want to do this!

my next step 3 years ago

Now I hardly buy cheese. My downfall now is eating cheese when I am out (and I eat out a lot). So as of tomorrow I am limiting myself to one serving of dairy a day. I am also going to be more conscious of foods that contain small amounts of dairy. My final goal is not to become vegan because I do not feel it is for me, so it is hard for me to tell when I complete this goal.
