So we all had a glorious 4 Star, Zagat-rated seafood lunch at DC Coast today (Shrimp and Grits, thankyouverymuch). There’s nothing like lunch with 12 feminists, an attorney, a women’s studies professor and five interns. Lots of good talk and excellent food (even if the waiter took my plate and mint before I got to scarf that yummy goodness down).
Of course, the finances are a little thin (are they ever not?) and Ben and I have a glorious journey to South Jersey (land of the free and home of the tacky) this weekend. I’m considering paying the rent late to finance the trip… is that so wrong?

a going away happy hour with all the girls from work… which I had no intention of going to until I got suckered into it. Overall, not bad, but also not particularly lively. Well, I suppose it counts. :) Oh- and last week I hit up a dinner meeting by the Supreme Court and the Museum of Women in the Arts.

so, I’m missing an event this week. I could go to the Feminist museum on Saturday afternoon, but was kind of looking forward to “date day”. What a conundrum…. ;)

Happy hour with the other interns in the office… I could use the cocktails, even if it is a little over my budget since payday is a week off. Well, when a girl needs a bourbon and coke, a girl needs a bourbon and coke. Plus, a girl in the office asked me if I’m still losing weight, so I feel cute today. ((humming I feel pretty…))

I actually ate dinner at the Zambian embassy! How often does that opportunity come up?
