I’m not going to officialy study philosophy in a bacherlor/master type way, but I did sign up for a course at the people’s university (how communist) in Haarlem starting in the last half of September. Very much looking forward to it :)

Just in my spare time. I really love reading about it and discovering new things. I think philosophy is one of the best ways to broaden your mind, and become more open-minded to others ideas. Although I’m still working on it.
I’ve always thought about going to school for philosophy but I’m not sure what kind of jobs, besides teaching, it may offer.

life is a series of experiences, ups and downs if you will. That’s positive and negative experiences, life becomes difficult when one of them outweighs the other. When you have more negative experiences than positive ones, more downs than ups, you become down, or unbalanced as it were. if you have more of one than the other, work on changing it. If you have more downs, go out and have more positive experiences, this is the key to life. Downs create a downward spiral, and breed an inner landscape of despair, ups change this- something as simple as going for hikes with a parrent or sibling, or friend, is an example of positive experiences

This Summer, I got a few books to start studying on my own. I then enrolled in an Intro to Philosophy class at the local college. I love it. The class is challenging, the assignments are not easy by far, and there’s a LOT of reading involved. But I LOVE it, thus far.

I know that philosophy is something that you learn yourself as life ticks on. But I am curious as to what other philosophers have written about and can teach me.
I spent most of my life reading works of fiction, But I would like to read more Neitzche, Descartes, Wittgenstein, and Derrida. Not really interested in Plato and Socrates very much. As I have read some of their works. I’ve also revelled in a lot buddhism, But too me Buddhism is sort of a reminder of common sense to me. There’s nothing wrong with that to me, In fact I think that humans need that occasional reminder.
I’m Very interested in Nihilism.
So, time to go book shopping.
