I am taking this leadership course and at the beginning of it they do this ‘focusing’ exercise which, basically, is hypnosis to calm and relax you. It really is quite relaxing and I plan on using that experience in my self-hypnosis.

I want to try this for some self improvement and to help cope with stress. I ordered the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Hypnosis and it came today. I read the first few chapters and from the quiz it seems I’m in the middle between being difficult and easy to hypnotize. Once I got to the self-hypnosis part I tried it for 10 minutes. I felt relaxed, comfortable, and calm. It will take some work to get to a state where I can give myself suggestions, but I’m sure with practice I’ll get there.

Reading a book on astral projection. Don’t really believe in the paranormal kind of stuff, but the techniques for relaxation and concentration are good.
I’d like to be able to concentrate more, on certain things, but alternatively I could just use hypnosis on the individual things, like my art skills, balance, writing, learning, etc.

I have been reading about this and things you shouldnt say and stuff because there are always warnings about it. im making a self hypnosys recording for tommorow. tell you how it works out
I don’t write or record my own scripts, which would be nice, but I tried a lot of things from other people: I downloaded free guided meditations and relaxations, and used them. I’ve made my own selection and for now I’m happy with it. I use one almost everyday, and I think it helps.
So I’m marking this as done but “want to do this again”, because I’d like to explore it more.

haven’t done it for a while. I think I’ll start again. No more reading about it, just practicing.
I think this just fell under ‘be balanced’ ...so im deleting this one to make room for real goals.
