What an interesting bunch of people thespians are! I want to get back into doing small town theater again, if only for the sheer camaraderie of it.

It is a commitment you must make to yourself to never forget your passions. The minute I tepped back on stage again I felt I was home. I am doing Improv and last night had my first go at Stand-up comedy and did extremely well, so getting back into theatre has led me to a new passion!!!
I miss acting. I spent about ten years doing community theatre, and was just starting to get some really juicy roles, like the lead in Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar and Grille – which was a blast to do. However, it’s now been over ten yeas since I’ve done any of that, and the urge is starting to build up in me again.
My work schedule doesn’t currently allow this, so I suppose I’ll have to wait longer to have a shot at this one.
After getting a BA in theatre arts, I went on a ten year hiatus and had four beautiful daughters. I loved my life, but part of me was missing. A year and a half ago, I got back into theatre and it has made such a difference in my happiness level. I have so many more friends with common interests, I have a creative outlet, and I have time to be the ME I used to be, not just Mom. I am now on my sixth show since coming back to the theatre, and I couldn’t be more happy or fullfilled!
I worked as a professional actor for 2 years, I was in partnership for a Theatre Company, and I gave it all away for the sniff of money. Pros and Cons. It would be nice to get back into it. Resurrect the Theatre co and go for it.
