Catattack has been a vital member of the 43Things community for over three years now. We’ve celebrated with her as she and Adar started their new life together. And we’ve seen her support others in their causes, like Segsy’s recent walk for Crohns and Colitis.

Now she’s trying to raise funds for the Lake Merritt Walkers walk in the Faith Fancher Annual 5K Fight against Breast Cancer on August 18, 2008.

Every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. The incidence of it has increased from one in 20 in 1960 to one in eight today. Over 40,000 women are expected to die this year from breast cancer here in the US.

The exact cause of breast cancer is not known. And this cancer has touched women in my family.
