start a youth ministry targeting at-risk youth

Awakening the youth of our generation from the on going problem of family abuse and drug and alcohol adddiction. also helping those that seem unreachable; that are left to fend for their self and left behind….

It’s time.

At my church this is what i do. we have a lot of youth just walk in off the street looking and longging for help. they come from all diffrent walks of life and have been through a lot. in the end it brings me joy to see them turn there life around and to see their seriousness in God and them allowing God to work in there lives. it really worth it.

Right now a friend and I are at the needs assessment part of this goal. We are researching the need for a outdoor wilderness program for high-risk youth. If it all goes as planned it will be a long, hard road. But definitely worth it. To change someone’s life in a positive way is to give them one of the best gifts of all.

the lady that watched my son today has a daughter i was thinking she could be invited to our youth bible study.

i has been two days and i have done stuff for the ministry i am trying to manage my time better a lot has happened since saturday so i will look over what i have done so far tonight i just have a lot of cleaning to do.

i worked on the ministry today and realized that i am able start it which is really encouraging and i am looking forward to it i just need to get to a church and start. i figured out that i can do it with support ant garden road . i just need a car to get there which i do from buying that car a month ago for 400.00 i just need to register it which is going to cost me 600.00 for insurance and to pay down the tickets from 4 years ago. i wiil check out also if my husband can put insurance on the vehicle even though he has an american liscense and is not a canadian landed yet.

I just found the name of the ministry and the logo now i just need to organize a time and when i would introduce it.

This is a great goal to achieve. I’ve been actually thinking about this recently with a close friend of mine from my home church. Have you seen the Saddleback church website at www.saddleback.com? (If you didn’t know Saddleback is the church of Pastor Rick Warren, the author of bestseller “Purpose Driven Life.”) Well they have this great support ministry you can access online. It’d be nice to start something like that. Anyway, have you done anything to achieve this goal?
