I registered a few weeks ago and will be taking this test two weeks from today. I’ve slowed on this goal and started to take my time, but I’m still pushing forward. One more step almost complete. :)

I just started my last class today! With it, I have field experience (including a lesson plan carried out with the class), a paper, and discussions… All due within the next week and a half! I know, I know, but I can and will do this.
Once I’m done with this class, I will:
- Take and pass General Knowledge exam
- Take and pass the Professional Ed exam

I just found out today that I passed my Subject Area exam! I’m so happy! So that should leave the following before I’m fully eligible for certification:
- Take and pass the FTCE Professional Ed exam.
- Take and pass the General Knowledge exam.
- Complete 2 more classes, including field experience (I took off a couple months, and will start back in January).
- Be hired as a full-time teacher! :)
Not too shabby! We can do this! :)

I started my 5th class (only two more to go!).
One of the women at church is a retired teacher and has offered to pull aside some classroom materials from her supplies for me! How sweet!

This weekend I made some progress on this goal. I’m pushing forward!
- Began my 4th class.
- Registered and paid for my subject area exam, which I will be taking in October.
Today I put in for a vacation day on Wednesday so I can go down to the school, get my official student ID, and also pick up study guides for my 3 professional tests. Should be a productive day for this!

Yesterday, I again attempted to apply for my temporary teaching certificate. The state website came back up and I was able to begin the process! Yea! It feels like the ball is rolling a little faster now. :)
This weekend I also registered for class #4, which I’m now ready to begin on Saturday. Hooray!
Next steps:
- Make sure all school transcripts are received by state
- Sign up for tests
- Study
- Successfullly complete class #4

It’s been several weeks that I’ve been trying to apply for my temporary certificate, but the state website is STILL down! Frustrated. Granted, I should have done this months ago, but woulda-coulda-shouldas don’t get it done. :( I can’t sign up for my tests until I apply for my temporary certificate.
GRRR! Moving on…
Tonight I will register for class #4, which begins a week from Saturday. I’ll do what I can and just press on. It will work out the way it’s supposed to. That’s what I’ll keep telling myself.

Completed my third course and am on a short break before my fourth course begins in August! 4 more courses to go!
While I want to enjoy this break, I need to work on getting signed up for my various professional tests. This should be a good time to prepare.
