i could have met him just this past friday – i and 3 other friends are doing a presentation at the end of this semester on Shyamalan for my film class. then we got word from one of our members that he’d be appearing at her church for a benefit/groundbreaking ceremony, and that we could very likely meet him and get an interview with him for the presentation. the only prob was that i was leaving for the mts on that day/for the weekend. i would have to be back by noon in order to get to the mts in time, and w/ the septa strike in phila, it was doubtful if we’d get back even by 1pm. so i ended up having to pass up the chance.
as murphy’s law would go, my 2 friends from the group that went DID get to meet him, and he gave them a whole 10 mins just to talk with him and ask him questions (they got it on videotape tho – yay!). he was very nice and gave them his full attention – very down-to-earth guy. they met his wife too, who was just as kind as he. but the terrible part is that my two friends made it back at noon! i could have gone afterall and met him!
