and a hearty “keep up the good work recovery”, I’m calling this “done”.
Besides, I happen to know her recovery is going good. I read things, you see. ;)

I’m 48 and I just had a blood pressure screening. It is 147/92, much higher than it has ever been. I’m scheduling an appointment with my doctor today. I know I need to lose some weight and exercise more. Right now, I’m thankful that the Mermaid’s ordeal made me more aware of my own health. I’m not getting any younger. I think it is time we all started having medical check ups.

Well, my cheerbomb was more like a cheer trickle spread over the past month or so, but I’m so glad to see continuing signs of your recovery, and get to know more about you by reading your goals and entries. I know that when I had surgery several years ago, I was amazed at how many people sent wishes for my recovery, even people I didn’t know. It really helped me. Hope it’s helped you, too. Wishing you health and happiness and continuing progress towards all your goals. More cheers!

I know how scary something like this can be, for you and your family. My prayers are with you for continued improvement. Here’s a hug to help things along.

I just talked to The Merm not too long ago. She’s at home and feeling tired, sleepy, and a little sore, but otherwise alright.
Her doctors all tell her the same thing, that, other than her heart attack, she’s in good health. Why does that make me laugh? Well…
Apparently women her age having heart attacks are relatively rare, as one might assume, only 11,000 occurring to chicks under 45. (God, how old am I when a 45 year old woman is a “chick.” ...sigh…)
I found and read this article and it made my blood run cold to think what could have happened to her. Well, it didn’t, she’s just fine.
Docs say that with some medication for a couple weeks she’ll be in good shape again.
Whew!
I told her that I might have mentioned a little something about her troubles here, and she laughed and told me to thank everyone for their good wishes…and as soon as she feels strong enough to lift her hands to the keyboard again, she’ll be back here to say thanks personally.
