How to watch all the Films on the American Film Institutes Top 100 American Films of the 20th Century
How I did it: This task took a LOT of time! I basically just kept watching as many of the films at a time as I could, renting those I didn't own, finding some from friends or online, et cetera. (PS-- The number of months is approximate, and it was done in bits and pieces)
Lessons & tips: What advice do you need? START WATCHING THOSE FILMS!! :D

From the 1997 list I’ve seen nearly 80. And I’m done. I mean i still have some on my netflix list. But there are some that it will take a lot to get me to watch them. And thats ok. So i’m taking this effort off my list just because.
Because of it I’ve seen some great films that I’ve really loved, “Singin in the Rain”, “Some like it hot” etc etc these were films that I would have never had sat down and watched without this list. But believe me there were films that I hated, “Shane”, “Yankee doodle dandy” etc etc.
So i’m over following some list and I’m just going to go with films that look interesting to me and if I love a film that other people hate well I’m getting used to the idea that I’m different and its ok that they don’t appreciate the films I do. I mean the world if filled with people to flock to see films that are really just created to give 14 year old boys an orgasm of visual effects. Which okay.
I’ve got the remaining list on my netflixs so at least I know I’ll get around to them sometime.
Just added the 31 movies I haven’t seen onto my amazon rental list. It’s only a matter of time now!
HAHAHA, jesus. I have to admit, the “last supper” scene was funny yet sentimental.
I dont’ think I was really involved in the film. So it was great for me. Oh well.
