I have been learning about the holocaust for about 6 years now. I did a lot of research on the topic and still don’t understand why the Germans would do that. I wish i could meet a holocaust survivor and hear in person their account of what they went through and if that is not possible than some letter and some pictures of what they look like. I think it is just wrong on what they did just because of their religion. I don’t think oh no i mean i know it is not a excuse at all to say i was just following orders.

It was AMAZING. It was so touching hearing his stories. He even introduced his friend who he went through it all with. I cried for sure.

This is the one thing in history that captivates me. Meeting a survivor and hearing thier history firsthand would make me soooo very happy! No other history lesson could compare!!

I’ve seen many moving documentaries about the holocaust. But I’ve never met a survivor in person. I would very much like to do so.

Two survivors came to my school last year and told their stories and one showed us his tattoo. By the end of the time I couldn’t stop crying. It’s so…unbelievable to hear all they went through. (But I do believe it 100%)

For them to share their stories like that, they truly are the most bravest people I have ever met.
I am extremely lucky because I’ll be meeting 5-6 more holocaust survivours on a school trip. I’m looking forward to this! These people are heros in my eyes.

In elementry school, I met a lady who survived the holocaust. She did not go into detail though because we were young. I want to talk to a survivor one-on-one next time.

I can’t even begin to imagine what they went through. I read the book “Night”. I find it so hard to believe this actually happened, that someone would actually be cruel enough, and people were actually forced to live through such horrible events.
Does anyone else ever get that? Where they ask themselves “did that really happen?”
I’m not trying to be disrespectful. Maybe I’m just scared by the thought of it, so my mind just tells me it can’t be real.
Why does it have to be a holocaust surviour too? Why not the people who went there and freed them? What a shock that must have been.

I went to the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. There was a lecture from a survivor and after that, a long Q&A.
Was brought to tears by the experience.
