Wicca A guide for the Solitary Practitioner' by Scott Cunningham 9 months ago

I used to practise Wicca sometime ago. It became too popular and I found it draining. Especially when practising with others. I never gave up the principals.

This book is brillant! It guides you through what Wicca is about without too much emphasis on the romance. I love it because it is simplified and down to earth.

A great read for the practioner and non-practioner.

The Stuntwomen's Workout by Danielle Burgio 9 months ago

An interesting read about the skills required to be a stunt woman. I think it is a good choice if you want to mix up you exercise program.

I do like her motto that exercise should be fun.

The Rivkin Guide to Getting Started in Shares by Jordan Rivkin 11 months ago

I learnt a lot about investing in shares. The psychology/personality type required for this volatile investment choice. Fear & Greed are key components to watch in the share market. It appears if you avoid the herd mentality and go the opposite way you will be in a better position. For example: everyone is selling shares atm and the market it hitting quite close to the bottom. This results in undervalued shares… a good choice to buy if you have the cash and your adviser recommends it.

This book is an excellent choice for any Australian’s interested in playing the share market, whether for short or long term investments.

I will read it again in the future after I have some time to digest the information I have already read.

'Making Money Made Simple' - by Noel Whittaker 11 months ago

This book was most useful and was written for the Aussies. It covered all area’s of finance, from budgeting, saving, investing through to superannuation.

I would recommend every Australian read this book.

He has written another book called ‘More Money’ which I am considering on purchasing.

Show me How! 500 Things you should know!!! 12 months ago

I was given this book as an Xmas present. Let just say it is one of the more interesting ones I have read. It teaches you through pictures and step by step guide all sort of things. How to flirt through to how to remove wall paper. If I had a coffee table that is where I would leave it. My guests have loved flipping through it while visiting for Xmas.

A Slice of Organic Life by Sheherzdae Goldsmith 13 months ago

Great book for the first timer… so many ideas and fun things to do on the weekend.

It was all about gardens, recycling and making your own healthy products.

It did bore me a little towards the end but that is because I grew up with a farming background. I was reading what my mother had previously taught me.

the science of getting rich 13 months ago

by Wallace d wattles was a bit too reglious for me. I did enjoy the power of positive thought though. also liked the idea of creative verses competitive action.

Trinny & Susannah - 'What you wear can change your life' 14 months ago

This book like most others regarding ‘What not to wear’ was full of information you may have read before.

I found it motivating especially regarding what colours may suit you.

On my holiday to Melbourne recently the adventurous streak came out and I purchased bright blue shirt and a turquoise boob tube. I would never have had the courage before.

Rating this book… great for first timers and those that have lost their way!!!
