Reflect often on things that make me happy

Just changed the title of this goal... 18 months ago

From “Daily” reflect, because clearly – that isn’t happening! My life has changed a lot over the last year and I just don’t get on the computer as often as I did, so although I will still do this every day in life, I will only post when I have the chance!

So… for today, things that make me happy are:

  • my snuggly, soft blanket
  • rainbow moonstone
  • being able to come home early because I was sick even though I still had to open the Centre this morning at 6.30am!
  • napping on the couch
  • getting phone calls from my man
  • having a night to myself (I miss him, but he’s only away for 2 days this time!)
  • having time to get onto 43T and Facebook
  • purple
  • the crystal in my kitchen window scattering rainbows all across the ceiling and wall
  • candles
  • Jeff

Haven't done this for AGES! 22 months ago

Well, not formally anyway! I do it in my head everyday! Clearly I wont be able to catch up 10 months of gratitude… so I’ll just do today!!!

Things that made me happy today:

  • That Jeff loved the lunch I cooked for us and kept coming over and asking if I needed help – and that because I didn’t, he stayed anyway and hugged and kissed me from behind while I prepared! :-)
  • That one of my good friends is a JP and happened t be in my area to come and sign the stat dec I had to have for my new job next week
  • Beautiful smelling body wash and moisturiser – pampering yourself should include ALL the senses!
  • The amazing taste of the bruschetta I made today – roma tomatoes are the BEST!
  • Feeling like the goddess I know I am
  • Anticipating our night in a ritzy hotel tomorrow night!

Oh my God!! I’ve missed WAY too many days to try and catch up! I’m just going to list the things I can remember being grateful for over the last week or so!

  • Crisp, cool nights
  • Bright stars in the country sky
  • Wine tasting
  • Feeling smart! Haha!
  • The sensory experience of being near the ocean
  • Amazing, intimate, emotional love making
  • Killawarra Strawberry Dusk bubbly!
  • Ravioli
  • Laughing and chatting with friends
  • Acknowledging and recognising how great my life is and truly enjoying it
  • Feeling connected to Mother Earth and the Universe
  • Having money in my bank account
  • Having flexible work hours – after 11 years on a roster, I’m still getting used to this whole ‘work whatever times work for you’ idea… but I LOVE it!
  • Anticipation of moving in with Jeff
  • Feeling loved and giving love

And so, so, so much more!!

I am so blessed – thank you Universe!

Two days worth..

  • Crunchy salt and vinegar chips… I’ve never liked them before – but I’m suddenly into them!
  • Organising lots of dates to catch up with some really good friends for dinner over the next few weeks
  • Feeling productive and like I actually have a clue at work!
  • Lovely texts from Jeff
  • The absolutely brilliant full moon last night – gorgeous!
  • The anticipation of seeing J tomorrow night and spending 6 nights together.

I’m going to do 4 days of gratitude in one go – here goes!!

  • My new workplace formally values and teaches Emotional Intelligence.
  • I love having my own carpark at work – no more getting there 2 hours early just to get a park!
  • My amazingly supportive and wonderful friends who flooded me with text messages and phone calls this week.
  • Hugs.
  • Being cuddled to sleep by a man who so obviously loves me. I am SO lucky.
  • When we were out playing pool and Jeff kept walking past me and grabbing me for a kiss – despite all his friends paying him out and making ‘get a room’ jokes. :-)
  • Wearing a new top that is a size smaller than I usually wear and getting heaps of compliments. (It’s a gorgeous shade of deep pink!)
  • Catching up with an old friend and her partner and 3 children – they live in Tasmania now, don’t see them often anymore.
  • Being able to just ‘be’ with Jeff.
  • Feeling attractive.
  • I’ve said it before – but I love Thompson Seedless Grapes! Yum, yum, yum!!
  • The gentle touch of his warm hand on my back or leg every now and then when we are out.

Tuesday’s happiness:

  • Starting my new job! Woohoo!
  • Finding the computer/ phone training I had to do quite easy. Thankfully!
  • All the lovely text messages I got from family and friends wishing me a ‘happy first day’ and the beautiful phone call I got from Jeff

Wednesday’s happiness:

  • Watching the sun set through the big windows in my new work building
  • Realising just how much flexibility I now have regarding work hours… (I’ve spent 11 years being on a roster – give me a break!)
  • Royal Gala apples… YUM!!

I’ve missed a few days – time for a catch up!

Saturday:

  • Chatting to friend on the phone
  • Having dinner with some of my closest friends as a ‘farewell’ celebration – good food, champagne and lots of laughter!
  • Hot chocolate! Yum!

Sunday:

  • Kisses and intimacy. Sigh…
  • Chinese food
  • Going to the movies – saw Hot Fuzz… bloody hilarious! HEAPS better than I was expecting… and I was expecting it to be good!

Monday:

  • Waking up with Jeff’s arms around me
  • Holding hands
  • Getting the Credit Union sorted out so that my rent will stop being taken out when I move and my car loan will keep getting paid when my pay comes in from a different source!

AND I start my new job tomorrow! YAY!

I love my life!

  • Today was my last day at work and I had a great day! It was also nice to receive heaps of nice cards and presents from staff and parents – it really surprised me. I’m SO looking forward to starting my new job on Tuesday… can’t wait!
  • Discovering a lovely, reasonably priced cafe right across the road from my place! My friend Penny and I went there for dinner tongiht – it was nice to get friendly service and beautiful food (yummy seafood risotto) that wasn’t too expensive, within a 2 minute walk from my front door!
  • Love. I have SO much love in my life – I am very, very lucky.

Happiness today:

  • My last Tuesday in childcare! Woohoo!
  • Soft, fresh fruit bread with real butter… yum!
  • I was able to come home early today when I felt sick.
  • I am SO lucky to have found the man of my dreams and that he is also in love with me!
  • Comfy, cozy bed – and that it’s cool enough to snuggle under a quilt.
  • Dark, gloomy rain clouds… I love them!
  • That I realised the girl at the checkout only gave me $50 when I actually withdrew $100 before I walked away!
  • Access to painkillers when I really need them.
  • Amazing, wonderful, supportive, happy friends – I am so very lucky to be surrounded with such positive people.

Thank you Universe, I am truly blessed!
