on the table…
but it also nice to have cheeeeeeesecake,
maybe I will add that to my list :::grin:::
I will keep flowers and candles and cheesecake on the dining room table.
Ok, maybe not…
I had made up my mind to buy a nice bunch of flowers at Costco as my luxury item for the week….
(and no, artichoke hearts are not a LUXURY item… a necessity!)
and was hoping they might have peonies or tuber roses… but when I spotted the orchids, I knew they would be coming home with me!
Here are some lovely nasturtians
that are volunteers in my backyard
they were growing up the side of the abandoned
compost pile…
Now they adorn my beautiful dining room table
I guess I don’t have to buy flowers
to have flowers
I had done some computer consulting
you know how I love to help newbies!
When she came to pickup some pix I had printed for her
she brought these flowers, aren’t they beautiful!!!!
They may be a little big for the table…
but I may make a sub-bouquet!
Mmmmmmmnnn… the tuber rose makes the house smell like Hawaii!

To surround ourselves with beauty, and to create meaningful space. I think of our dining table as a sacred space, when my kids and dh and I sit aroud and eat. Here’s our panspiritual blessing, gotten from Jon and Myla Kabat-Zinn’s Everyday Blessings: the Inner Work of Mindful Parenting

aren’t roses the BEST?
and my niece said that she thought they were cool…
I sent her some flowers for her birthday :::grin:::
time to spread the joy!
When I sit on the couch in the living room,
I can smell the carnations on the table
isn’t life wonderful?
I bought carnations for the table today. Pink ones seemed the best choice today. So nice!
