Sadly, I spend a lot of time in my office. It’s a nice office, with lots of natural light and new furniture, but it’s so boring. I want to feel like I’m at home when I come here. I need pictures of my family, some nice artwork, flowers, etc. I don’t want to feel miserable about spending so much time here.

In a week or two I will be moving to another office, so I’ll wait till my moving is finished and then bring all my decoration to the new office.

I got a new mouse pad today :)
I know it sounds silly, but I like it’s colors matching with my PC :D

To feel like it's my place 7 months ago

Decorating the office is not just about making the place pretty, it’s about making it a place were I love to be, my place. We spend more than half of our day out there, and we often have hard times at our jobs, and feeling that your office is your place, will definitely makes me feel better, and less stressed.

I love little toys, decorated boxes and scented candles. I guess I’ll bring some of those to the office.
The walls need serious repainting, but that is not really up to me to do, it’s kind of administrative thing, it will take time, so, some of the stuff I talked about earlier will do for now.

My Director is coming from the head office on Monday, I have been buried in papers due to a huge project I am working on. I cleaned my office and now I realize how bare it is. I have a plant and a couple of pictures of my children. Think of a vase of real flowers – what do you think?

The New Decor: 12 months ago

To date I have amassed or should have coming to me:

1 old silver ex voto from Peru (not my hand in the pic) (though I don’t know why I’m making a point of telling y’all that)

    1 Supernatural poster (obvs)

1 TV on the Radio poster

    1 Rosebuds poster

3 funky b/w postcards bought while shopping in Lawrence, KS yesterday (1 Frida Kahlo, 2 of happy graffiti)

1 calendar of the Dakotas, because I want to go the Badlands next year

Now I need to get some fresh photos together…

    Thankfully... 13 months ago

The agency I work for decided to keep things as is, so… No office! But now that I’ve had time to process this, that’s fine by me, I kind of like my little cubicle actually! Plus I don’t have to move, or rearrange things which is good right now. And my buddy and I will still see each other in our office space we share together—also a good thing :D

But… There could still be a change in the future, so who knows! Fow now I’ll have to “give up” on this goal until further notice.

There are going to be renovations SOON where I work, which means that I will no longer be stuck in a cubicle, but I will have my own little office! I am excited for the change and look forward to decorating my actual office :D

It’s not exactly how I envisioned it, but it’s better than it was.
