Well, I started going to the gym last Tuesday, with my brother. It helps that it’s both free, as work pays, and my brother goes to the same gym. I didn’t do anything til Thursday (so Wed off) with Waterpolo training, then Friday off again, but then Saturday was a ballet class, and Sunday I did pilates and a water polo game, so that makes up for one day off in a way. Monday, nothing, but Tuesday, I did Pump. Today I plan to go to Pilates, as well as cook dinner – what a challenge. But it feels like I’ve turned over a new leaf – got to keep it up though!!

How I did it: well I just went to a gym close to my home so going was very simple. I love exercising and I treated the daily exercise as a break from my hectic life style.I don't think that if you hate working out and think about it as a chore you would be able to persevere in it. How I did it: I don't technically go to a gym. A friend of mine got me started on Kung Fu. Specifically Hun Gar which is, i'm told, the most difficult branch.I've always wanted to do something that fit me when I was younger. Be like the other girls. Ballet, gymnastics, girl scouts. But none of those things ever stuck with me. they always petered out. I made the effort but something in the universe was telling me no. So, I waited. Then I started to get … Read how I did it…

How I did it: Having a partner to work out with helped tremendously. Paying for a gym membership helped too. I found out the YMCA had fun classes, like Zumba and kickboxing. My friend went with me the first few times and now I go on my own. Before work, I make sure to pack a bag with my workout clothes and shoes. I keep it in my car so that I can go straight from work. I find that if I don't do that and just go home, I sometimes don't end up going. I a… Read how I did it…

Sort out your reason for going and your motivation. Is it more important and compelling than the alternative of not going?
the gym here at school is called FIKE, and it’s way easy to go because i tend to have a good amount of free time. all i have to do is make it out the door, and then it’s all good. you know, i really don’t mind it once i go. i just need the motivation to go. it’s usually social motivation.
i like to go if i can watch tv there, and be on the eliptical for 30 mins to an hour because of the tv show. but really i like to go to socialize..
i just need to get the initial motivation to get out the door!

Getting better.. going 3 times a week.. and ive noticed that when i zone out on a show i can do 4 miles no problem.. sucks when i dont have a show to watch lol
My plan is to go on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Wish me luck. I’m determined to do this. I don’t know anyone at my gym, so I’ll be doing this by myself.
I think doing this for 2-3 months uninterrupted, I’ll know I reached the goal

SO didn’t make this tonight.. and SO don’t want to go!! DANG IT!
For about a month or so I was going to the gym at least three days a week, alternating with my days in class. With finals week out of the way now I should try to find some time to get to the gym more. I want to get back in the habit of working out regularly but it’s difficult to without a car or reliable transportation.
