I went to Geróid’s house to get some books. Then we went on a marathon cycle around the Ennis National School. Then Gearóid showed me were abouts the geocache he found a few days ago was. Then we cycled on the by-pass to my house. All in all that was 21.69km for me.
16.9138816km + 21.69km = 38.6038816km

Second cycle
I went on a longer route this time. It was a way nicer road. I had done it before with my Dad and my brother when we were young. I might go on a longer path tomorrow.(I know of this longer path because my mother almost go lost on it trying to find the 10.5km I did today.) If I do the longer path I know I’ll get to go under the by-pass. Or do my 10.5km I did today twice. I regret not wearing a hat. Also I did prehydrate. :)

It wasn’t a great start.
I planed to go on a crap road so that I could cycle slowly.
The road was so crap the minute I went on the Gort road I didn’t turn back I went the better route home. Since there was a lot of cars on the road I went a bit faster. It was a very hot day and when I came home I felt really bad. I threw up soon after. I think it was because I didn’t prehydrate as much as I should have for a very hot day and I shouldn’t have cycled as much.
I plan to go to Gearóids’ house and borrow some books or go on a longer route. I want to find a safe route where I can go slow. I might change bikes.

Gearóid understands cricket ... it's not bad!
I had a punctured tyre on my bike last week, so I’ve only started cycling today. Progress will be slow to start, but I’ll pick up. These distances will be very precise thanks to my GPS!
June 2nd: 18.38km
June 3rd: 5.89km
June 5th: 21.54km
June 20th: 4.7km
Total: 50.51 / 1000 km

Gearóid understands cricket ... it's not bad!
I’m better equipped to achieve this goal this time around as my new phone has GPS and a Sports Tracker which will tell me how far and fast I cycled. Knowing exact figures makes this a more realistic goal, I think.

I put this one on just to prove how easy it is to Gearóid.

Gearóid understands cricket ... it's not bad!
I didn’t work on this goal enough over the past two months, and cycling over 750km in just over a month seems highly unlikely. However, I won’t give up, and I’ll get as close to achieving this goal as I possibly can!

One MEGAmetre!

This goal was “cycle 1000km”, but then I realised that that’s the same as 1,000,000 metres … i.e. 1 megametre! How cool does that sound? I can tell everyone I cycled an entire megametre when I’m done! :D

More updates

Well I kind of forgot to keep this updated, but I did cumulatively keep track of everything I’ve done over the past month or so between cycling to college and cycling to town, and it adds to a lovely 55km! :) I also cycled 30km today, which I was very happy with, so I think I’m well on my way to completing this goal! The updates will be in this post now instead of the last just because it’s closer to the top!
I’ll just keep track of how I’m doing in this post!
