Learn to paraglide

I signed up for a paragliding class in May. There is a class-room portion and a field portion-where the actual paragliding takes place, pending any rainstorms that might blow in. Well the flight part got rained out. And each subsequent class has not held due to low-enrollment. I will keep trying.

can’t wait to try it out. looks like a blast, just have to finish up with skydiving first…

Got to visit a paraglider take off area and school while visiting San Diego last week… OMFG… looks just fantastic!!

I am really scared of hieghts … so I am doing this to cure my fear!!

Floating across the south downs hills like a big fluffy cloud…ahh could there be anything more peacful? Of course if I smash into a tree or fall to my death that wouldn’t be quite so peaceful…

Yup went paragliding – went to a place – where you go solo on the 1st day – excellent – also took a friend who always wanted to do it too! – he loved it! Always try and help your friends along on the quest too – thats what we’re all here for!

Also did a 2nd day – 7 more days to do before i get my licence.

2nd day was a bit of an eye-opener – got my weight wrong – and the instructors didnt realise it was only my 2nd day! – explanation mark? – could have sued! I went rather high – poo’d my pants – it was kind of like taking a shower in cold water – y’know – when you breath gets taken away? ‘Lorne, you kind of went off the deep end today’ was their comment. hmmmf.!

Anyway, recommend it – it IS totally safe – the wings are pretty sturdy these days – just make sure you get your weight right – and make sure the instructors know what day your on.
