This isn’t that much of a stretch for me. I know where the local master’s team is (very close by), and I already swim every day at my gym. The two hangups are time and money. I want to wait until my job has a regular routine so I know I can go at the times that the master’s team meets. I also need to make room in my budget. The price of the community rec center and master’s swim fees are over double the cost of my monthly gym membership, so I need to save up.
I’m on a swim team, or well a swim club,. I’ve been on the team since May 2007.
If anyone knows how I can do this, I would really appreciate it. As soon as you know contact me? I’ve never done this before so I don’t know how this works. I’m kind of twelve years old so I need a “little league”.
ana cristina is enjoying everything.
It’s kind of worth doing. I’ve been doing in for 8 years, but there are more amusing things to do.
my goodness i love to swim. I like the water and the feeling of gliding through the water. It’s totally awsome. It gets you in great shape and you can go at your own pace.
Does it count as quitting if I’m still on the waiting list for my local Masters’ team? I did participate in a lifeguard competition, but I don’t think that counts … plus I’ve been a total lazy ass and not swam in forever. This week I’m going to go at least twice. Wish me luck!
I’m a certified lifeguard and I used to swim for my high school … although I was never the best, I enjoyed the exercise and the team spirit. Since starting university I’ve let things like hobbies fitness slide in favor of getting all my assignments done on time, but no longer! I’ve contacted the coach of my local Master’s Swim Club, so fingers crossed that I get in for fall!
