Yeah, I want to do this, so that I can have suitable TV for my video games. Like the ones I’ve seen on XBox 360 and have a reason to buy a PS3!

And I know some US residents have been quick to point out (on other forums) that it’s not a True HDTV™, but it’s close enough for me and it’s pretty sweet too! Not really cheap, but it looks really good (and the image quality is good too!).
I shelled out the extra bucks for a 43” Pioneer plasma, the XDE to be precise (includes a digital broadcast decoder, which is nice).
This is also the first TV I’ve ever encountered that does text-TV in a fashion that means it’s actually usable! Instead of having to wait for the requested page to be broadcasted, this TV caches them all, as soon as you shift to a new channel. After that all page browsing is instantaneous. And for those pages that cycle each push the TV caches all variants and lets me switch between them as I please. I just love this specific feature!
Really happy with this investment. Another item to cross off my list! yay! Attaching an image of it off Pioneer’s website, for the curious ones. :)

I would like to get a HDTV. They are eventually going to get cheeper and become the standard form of signal transfer anyway.
